Lightbulb CF meetup idea

Had an idea (yeah yeah hold the jokes), who would be interested in having a CF meetup. Say booking a venue staying over night and having a good old knee up?

It would be good to know where everyone is in the county so if you havent already drop your location on the guestmaps

So what do you think?

I was toying with an idea like this sometime earlier this year, called Certforums Live!
a mixture of somewhat live advice sessions/cert discussion during the day, followed by a bbq/beers in the evening, however i never got too far with it

Originally i was going for either somewhere central to the country, so that its in the middle for everyone
or london due to its transit links from all corners (flights from scotland, trains from wherever) due the the drinking I wasnt sure how many people would be driving ;)

What are your guys thoughts on that? would you just want a booze up / get together social event? or try and tie it in with some kind of cert related event? summer is approaching so the long cool evenings sound like a perfect time for such an event

good to see such positive response, great idea Si!

Think thats a great idea there phoenix, like the idea of a cert related event followed up by a social gavering.
With the long summer nights just around the corner its the perfect time of year too.
As for the location of the event im swaying towards a central to the country one.

Yup I'd be up for that (during the school hols of course ) Like the idea of an overnight stay, then no worries with driving.

As a notion, I could probably get access to my old schools tech lab for presentations and stuff, as well as access to the carpark and field perhaps for the bbq, ofcoruse that would be if it was held in london, if its held up north im sure someone else can arrange similar facilities? perhaps? hehe

Well I heard there was a secret chord, That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?

Well it goes like this, The fourth, the fifth - The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
