How did you get your MCT before your CTT+?

So are you actually working as a trainer? If you are, then fair play at 14 if you can command the respect of a class - not easy at the best of times, even harder if they are all over twice your age.

    This.

When you're quite a bit older than 14, you'll figure out why having an MCT at age 14 is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

When I was 14, all I cared about was playing Basketball and looking good when I played (because a lot of girls used to sit in the stands in the gym at school) :biggrin! That and playing computer games on my Commodore Amiga and Sega Megadrive (or Genesis depending on where in the world you live).

Those were the days - good times.

Actually a screen door on a submarine is a really good idea.
It keeps all but the very smallest of fish out when you've got the main hatch open in the summer.

I tutored my first 2 students, both became Microsoft Office Master within 6 months and both are old than me.

I got a real job (part time) at age 13 on Sat. and continue tutoring others.

Actually, after passing all 6 of office 2007, (prior to that Certified Instructor was on my certification planner on Microsoft MCP site) Microsoft Certified Instructor appeared on my transcripts. I asked to be put on the "locate the instructor" directory, and then Microsoft removed that certification from my transcript and all other's transcript planner. They said it was a mistake, I don't know if that has anything to do with my age.

I would qualify for MCT for being a Microsoft Certified Instructor, but after they take away that, I now have to attend instructor training, which qualified me for the MCT.

I do have to teach a class during my first year of becoming an MCT. And I have one class in the work through a non-profit organization.

I admit having being an MCT at age 14 is not very useful, I wish I had done it when I was 13.

So how do you keep up to speed on other things...such as reading, writing, maths, science etc? Surely you still have to attend school?

I never knew that you could get an MCT through the MOS route, but it seems that you can.

Not to mention the annual fee... not sure how it'd be worth it for a 14-year-old to keep renewing unless they were working as a full-time instructor at a training center that requires the MCT.

LOL, Good for you mate, for one it shows you have drive and ambition.

When I was 14 I was busy selling jazz mags to my peers at school, nice little earner.

Nah mate, that's just cheap and nasty. I spotted a chance to make some nice money, at 14 I looked older, so I used to be able to buy the mags and flog them for a premium at school. I used also flog chocs and sweets out of my bag too, undercut the tuck shop something crazy, somethings never change.
