I'd recommend that you start studying on the A+, Network+, and MCDST to give you a head start. Certifications beyond those won't do you much good until you've built up some real-world IT experience.

Yeah thats a good shout. ive been working for my local funeral directors/hardware shop and it repair shop. started off helping the boss run the it business now running it so got a few years experience doing various pc/laptop upgrades, builds, repair. setting up server for business customer and doing call outs. Do you thing 70-624 would be a good choice.

Hi mate, I've just got my 620 and 264 this week. I'd say go for 624 because its similar to 620 plus if you liked the 620 content, 624 builds on this and will earn you an MCTS: Business Desktop Deployment

About the same I'd say mate so seeing as you've passed 620 you should be OK. It focuses more on how you'd install Vista in your company so over the network etc but tackles how to get around non PXE boot NIC's, that kind of thing. It also covers BDD and Zero Touch Installation which is quite cool.

I'm not sure about upgrading your MCDST to be honest as I don't have that. Might be worth you looking at 70-623 Pro exam. I imagine its going to be a bit harder than 70-624 IMO but that would make you a MCITP Consumer Support Technician
