Just downloaded googles new browser to give it a go, first impressions on its look is firefox with a dab of safari (which is whats its built from). going to have a play around with its features to see if its worth keeping.
dont know if it was just me but it seemed a little slower rendering CF.

Cant say im digging it at the moment, theres no google toolbar its default look is a little too playschool for me, I think I'll go back to ff3 and ie7 still was worth a punt.

I expected it to intergrate in some way with googles other services but as far as I can see its just a browser.

I'm using it right now and loving it. It's very fast and very lean. No complaints at all so far! :biggrin

It's definitely very fast. But, can it handle add-ons?

Do yourself a favor and open all three browsers, and *then* Task Manager.

Is he about to slam IE? I'll have to lay the ducktape smack down on him if he is. 8)

Just downloaded it and installed it...

It's nice, clean and quick... but I think I may use Firefox for the time being...

One annoying thing I've noticed though is the the inability to go to posts inside threads. Normally in Firefox/IE you can click the red arrow and shoot straight to the last post in a certain thread - with chrome you can't. (At least I haven't done enough digging to find out if you can or not :p)

Oh... and shortcuts (Ctrl + I for italics for instance) doesn't work inside Chrome *sigh*

yes dont think I'll bother with this one at the moment, cant say I really like it, theres is'nt any NEW features in it, and even if it does consume a meg or two less resources than ie or ff thats all a moot point these days. still I'll keep an eye on it and see what the OS community can make of it.

I've been seeing seeing a few sites moaning about this. I don't think it is the intention of Google to steal people's copyrighted material, effectively releasing them from any IP restrictions. It could be a set of statements that are valid for the laws of the respective countries for which you can download and install the browser, protecting them from any strange lawsuits that may come their way.

Google are not the law after all! :biggrin

I read a similiar article elsewhere, I suspect that eula may well be given a hasty retraction and a new one issued. If they dont they have just lost any chance of getting rolled out onto corporate desktops and proberbly will only get installed on pc's where people dont read the eula's
