Yes I know, im a useless bleeder
but alas! the Masterclass will be commencing shortly, I have all but finished the first walkthrough for Part 1, which will give a brief outline and guide is through the installation with pictures and such (ooo pictures)
So could I get an updated list of who is going to partake in the 'live' version of the course, I think were limited to 6 because of skypes limitations, but I can run multiple live courses if it prooves popular, and those of you who dont have the time will be able to get the PDFs/Doc files and follow along at your own pace.
I'd be keen in taking part in the Masterclass but I would think that, due to time / timing, it would most likely be following along with the PDF version you mentioned. Do you have any plans for dates and times you'll be running the class or will it be as and when folk are ready?
One question I wanted to ask, in your previous "Preparation" thread you mentioned that it would be Fedora Core 1 that would be used. Is this the "Yarrow" download from LinuxISO.org? I was thrown a bit when reading the VMWare settings preparation when the name mentioned under VM Name was "Masterclass 01 (FC2)". Just a bit unsure if the FC2 means I should be downloading Fedora Core 2. Probably a silly question but just wanted to check.
One more question if you don't mind. Having never used VMWare, just wanted to ask how beginner freindly it is? Basically I was wondering if there is there any chances of major screw ups to my system if I do something wrong!
Sorry for being a pest with the above questions and thanks in advance for any help or info.
ill have to go through all the earlier steps and fix them mate, we were originally going to go for FC2 but it had some probs on VMWare that i didnt want to have to deal with in the class right away, so we opted for FC1 which is indeed the yarrow release
sorry for the confusion
not sure as of dates adn times yet, part 1 should idealy take less than 2 hours one evening, as its just the installation, its a very basic overview nothing too in depth, i myself am not a linux expert so i couldnt make it a full blow certification course or anything lol
I would also like to take part depending on which day you do it on.
Could you not use the chat room instead of Skype if you get too many takers. Not as personal but would be just as good me thinks.

not at all mate, thats what the PDF is for
the live one is mearly a way to get people together, and to overcome problems together, the PDF is what it is based on, and it will be freely available upon its completion (stage one is pretty complete, just steps through the installation)
