Hi All,

Just to follow up from this post, and my previous ones (taken and then failed). I passed the 70-649 exam this morning.

Score: 887

There were definately areas that I knew I was weak in, but I could always discount 2 of the answers and then had a choice of the other 2

If you know your stuff and a MCSE you'll already know about 50% of the exam (or at least make a very good guess) hence my almost "passes" the last two times

I thought that I would have failed this exam as I was rushed into it (the voucher was good until Monday, but there were no testing centres with any availability so today was the only other option).

Stuff that I've used to help me study:

1. Trainsignal's Intro to Windows 2008 CBT - very good imo.
2. Introduction to Windows Server 2008 book - good.
3. Experience with building Windows server 2008, as well as virtual Serer 2008 machines at work for use and home for study - very valuable.
4. Technet for Windows 2008 - good but boring...
5. Previous two attempts at exam
6. Microsoft white paper downloads, see here (there's alot) - good but boring again.

To tell the truth, I believe that if i didn't use/have all of the above, I don't think I would be celebrating.

Well there you go, I'm one exam away from the MCITP: Enterprise Admin. On to the next one, but not for a while

One person I would like to thank is Modey (Dom), as sometimes another pair of eyes (and prespective) can help you figure something out that's staring right at you - especially when I was first starting to learn Hyper-V when it first came out

Belated very well done Ken. I looked up your post because I'm going to hit this exam next I think, and I KNEW! you would have written a good breakdown of what materials you'd used to pass it, as always Belated Rep for saving me a job my good man
