Smile Hello (or "A+ study vs. GTA IV...hmmmm...")

Hi all,

Thanks to Juice142 for kicking me in this direction and giving excellent advice regarding making progress toward certification. I.e. not bankrupting myself, or just putting it off, due to the cost of courses when I can just read a book (or ten) to get going in whatever IT direction(s) I like.

However, I have managed to time my resurgent interest in IT rubbishly as battle for my attention rages between the righteous forces of study and the all-powerful virtual antics of Grand Theft Auto IV... It's never too long before the mighty tome that is Mike Meyers' A+ cerficiaton guide draws me back to it though - I must be growing up or something!

Anyway, my goal is to grow my knowledge and gain proof of in-depth hardware and OS stuff for PC and Mac to flesh out the bits I know already, or at least that I think I know... Let the journey commence!

Lol funny post. I know exactly how you feel.
The only way I was able to put my controller down was to book the exam in advance... Leaving myself no choice but to study.

Welcome to the forums! That's a mighty hard decision you have there... how about this... study for an hour, play for an hour. Study for two hours, play for two hours. Give yourself a reward for getting through it. In no time at all, you'll be ready for your exams, and you'll have enjoyed yourself along the way.
