Hi every1! I just registered for this forum. I just want to say that today I'm taking the 220-601. I studied the Comptia A+ Certification ALL-IN ONE DESK REFERENCE FOR DUMMIES. I didn't see any1 here using or recomending this book and im kind of worried. personally I did like the book, and i understood almost all of the concepts on this book. If anyone has a comment regarding this book, please let me know. It may be to late, but anyway, people can take a look at that book, and i will see the results later one when i make the exam. Feel confident.
Well... it's too late for you to change books (or even to reschedule your exam) at this point... but you asked for comments regarding the book, so... here goes:
Had a co-worker use the Dummies book and failed... twice. Scared her so much, she didn't try again for almost two years. I suggested she try again using Mike Meyers A+ All-in-One... and she passed! She said that the Meyers book was excellent... and wouldn't recommend the Dummies book at all.
All that said... I hope you pass! Best of luck on the exam.
Well I actually quite like the dummies books. I never find them good enough to pass exams though, however they are great for helping you to get an understaning of the materials that the exams will cover, and a great starting point for further learning.
well. i seems like Im in troubles huh? oh well like u said, it is to late to change books. i never heard of the mayers book before. I should have gone into the forums before take that decision rite?

I looked the book up on Amazon and it has fair to good reviews. Don't worry about opinions on your resource material and just take the test. If you pass, great. If not, you can re-evaluate your study methods and materials and decide if you need to make some changes at that time. Let us know. Good luck.

Well I got good news! I was able to pass the exam! (220-601) I wasn't satisfied with my score but at I passed it!
Score was 770! n getting ready for the next one! (220-602)
