I was a little surprised how few MCSEs on Server 2003 there are. Also, if demand for certified pros is any indication, Vista must be more popular than I thought.
Crito Philippatos
MCSE and MCSA on Windows Server 2003, MCTS on SQL Server 2005, MCDBA on SQL Server 2000, A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, CEH
Looking through that list I'm surprised by the number of "new" certs that exist and especially those that have so few people completed them:
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
Microsoft Office Groove 2007: Configuration 35
Microsoft Office Project Server 2007: Configuration 15
Microsoft Office Visio 2007: Application Development 31
Microsoft Virtual Earth 6.0: Developing Applications 18
I didn't even know there were certs for these?!
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.
Aims:
70-271: Dec 2007 PASSED!
70-272: March 2008 PASSED!
ITIL v3 Foundation: June 2008 PASSED! in July
Net+: July 2008
70-270: Nov 2008
You think you guys have got it bad, for the rest of the world you pay M$ bundles of cash and hope one day they come visit in two years time...
I'm trying hard not to be cynical, but its very hard to view this as anything but a cash cow, no training offered and bundles of $$$ for an interview that may never happen...
Theres also talks of discounts, so its likey that many of thoose certified did no pay the asking price including of course M$ staff.
