My place seems to rely on Prince2 - but I'm no expert in this.

While Comptia Project+ & PMI are known world-wide, and they are good certifications to get. I have noticed on alot of jobs that I have applied for either put the Prince2 certification as an essential or at least a desirable for project management.
Another cert that seems to be very popular is the ITIL (IT Services Management). And like Harry pointed out, unless your shouting please type normally  -ken The Martial Arts: The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle. My Community Profile

To get into project management, you'll need to get some real-world experience under your belt. In fact, you can't even get the PMP certification from PMI unless you've got five years of project management experience (or three years plus a Bachelors degree): link
