Well I've (re-) started on studies on server 2008, signed up again for the e-learning clinics from MS and just bought the book Introducing Windows Server 2008 from MSPress. Going to install the full version of Win2k8 on one of our servers and hopefully integrate it with our current live domain (the server had the beta version of 2k8 ).
Going to look around to see if there's any CBT's around and then take it from there.
On the downside, my local test centre (or not as the case my be) is still not a working Prometric centre. I'm very disappointed.

I would NOT advise integrating a new DC into your production environment until you've had a chance to give it a thorough shakedown first. There might be some new items in AD that could propagate to other DCs and cause problems (or maybe not). The point is not to do anything to your production environment until you've got some thorough testing under your belt.
Thanks for the advice, however I have already tested it out in a test environment (as a DC) as well as used it in a live environment as a member server, I'm quite confident in the process. So far I haven't experienced any problems.
The part I'm not sure yet on is when I migrate my Exchange 2003 environment to a Exchange 2007 one on the 64bit edition of Windows 2008, but that's not until later this year. See here.

OK I guess, have booked the exam (70-649) for the 15th of April, so next week. Not so much because I'm ready, but because I have a voucher that expires and need to sit the exam asap otherwise I lose the voucher.
Got a few good study materials:
Introducing Windows Server 2008 (recommended by MS)
The Longhorn guides from when beta 3 was released from MS
Playing around with Windows 2008 since beta 3 - however not as much as I would like to.
The eLearning clinic's from MS
It's alot harder as apart from Transcender (and that's too expensive at the minute), there aren't any practice tests out there, unless you look at MeasureUp but you have to purchase the 3 individual practice exams instead of the upgrade one

Me: You need to buy a couple of servers.
Customer: Whats wrong with the servers I have?
Me: Well, you dont have *any* servers just now.
Customer: WTF! I thought I did!
Good luck on Tuesday Wag, I would send you postive thoughts but I will be sitting in a dentisit chair getting a tooth pulled so I really don't think you want my thoughts coming your way. So I will just wish you all the best now. Let us know how it goes.
