Hiyah

If one goes to book the exam for Network+ it states its the 2007 edition

Is this still based on the 2005 objectives ?

Regards

yep diddly, it is exactly the same exam number. They have added some content but nothing too drastic or anything that isn't covered in the books.

HND Bussiness Computing, GNVQ IT, NVQ 1 & 2 IT, A+

Smile Network+ 2005 objectives

Network+ 2005 objectives.

Pearson Vue refer to their exam as 2007 but the 2005 objectives stiil apply. In an industry that does not stand still, objectives that are nearly 3 years old de-values the exam. If we are tested on new developments then where are the updates? Also apart from the O'Reilly Nutshell A+ N+... book issued in mid 2007 why are the experts avoiding the topic?

The industry may not 'stand still', but the basics haven't changed much for some time.

Yes - some of the frills have changed, but basic stuff like TCP/IP, IPX and NetBIOS are now 10 to 20 years old.

So don't run down an exam that is only a few years old!

Harry.
