Just installed XNA Game Studio onto my machine at home. And man am I confused. I'm sure it doesnt help that I dont know c# much, but it definately seems confusing to do things in the code.

Going to have to find some tutorials that cover an absolute beginners view of C# game coding. Reckon ill start with trying to create tetris, if i can figure out how to do it. :blink

Microsoft has some good information on their site. Additionally, it looks like Microsoft has included links to some tutorials within the interface. Take a look at this site to see how to access those tutorials.

As an aside, you might want to back up a bit and learn a little about C# before trying to tackle game development. There are a lot of things to learn with game programming that can get in the way of learning the basics of the language, and it can quickly get confusing if you don't have a base to build on.

    Good luck!

What BosonJosh said. Not knowing the language that you're coding a game in will stop you completing the game, especially when concepts are explained using code snippets that you can't interpret because you don't have the foundation.

Don't just dive in like that, or you'll put yourself off game development.

My view is similar. Creating games is an advanced topic in any language. If you don't know the language intimately you are going to be frustrated.
