doing the right thing

Well we have broadband and my connetction can pick up a lot of signals, there is one im sort of worried for as it is not encrypted in anyway and id like to tell the person who owns it about this. Is there a way without droping a latter through 20 or so doors about this

Sounds saft but id like to ethically hack him and leave a note on his desktop to point out the dangers of this or would that be suicidal???

Ed

I take it your with sky or something like that?

Why not cancel your subscription an use the un encrypted one only kidding

I would just leave it unless you can approximatley figure out where this un encrypted comp is and be nice and say if you felt like it you could hack their comp and explain how to encrypt their network or offer to show them.

Ermm no not a good idea. If you really want to help, get a laptop with wireless and see which house you get the strongest signal from. Then a small note and your done.

Putting a computer in front of a child and expecting it to teach him is like putting a book under his pillow, only more expensive.

As a quick note - the Sky router comes with WPA on by default!
