Do old design exams still count in 2003?
I'm planning to upgrade my MCSE:2003 to MCSE:Security and am curious about the design exam.
When I took the MCSE about 3 years ago, the old (Windows 2000) design exams were valid, so I have 70-220 (Security Design), as well as two other designs from my MCSE:2000 (I upgraded the slow way) If I take 70-299 to get MCSA:Security, will 220 count instead of 298 or will I need to take 298 to get the full MCSE:2003. Always, always, always look on the vendor Web site for this sort of information. Otherwise, you may get old/incorrect information.
Yes, 70-220 will fulfill the MCSE 2003 Design requirement. From here: Quote:

It looks as if it will be MCSE:Security(2000) and MCSA:Security(2003) then -- assuming I get through the exam  Tom Jones MCT, MCSE (2000:Security, 2003), MCSA:Messaging & Security, MCDBA, MCDST, MCITP, MCTS, MCP, Sec+ PhD, MSc, FIAP, MIITT ICT Trainer / Consultant Ossian Ltd Scotland
