Starting to get hit heavily with spam relating to the Storm trojan today. Our gateway has seen a rise of about 85% in spam - exclusively related to Storm.

All of the mails related to it contain words or phrases related to the 4th July - 'Happy Independence Day', 'Happy Birthday America', 'God Bless America', 'Happy 4th July' etc. etc.

At present, I've noticed that all of the ones we've received so far have the following text in common:

We hope you enjoy your awesome card

I've dumped that in the lexical analysis filter and quarantined all mail that contains the phrase into a separate queue. In the time it has taken me to write this message, the number of mails in that queue has gone from 1,320 to 1,455...

Just a heads-up for anyone who may be responsible for mail or anti-spam administration!
