Anyone heard of Ucertify?

Is it a safe site, or one to stay clear of?

Anyone able to recommend a list of safe and effective test sites?

Actually they look legit Lee. Nothing at all about bd's that I could find. Plus they don't push that you memorize their questions.

The company is not coming up in the filters here or at TU which is a good sign. The quiality of their work I can not comment on, but with the sale price they are having on their A+ at the moment, one could afford to find out. Which one were you thinking about?

 

Transcenders are good, ive used them myself. Never heard of the other one tho

How are you?

Well, my next exam is the 70-270 (booked for end Jan). I have been on an interquad course, and read the first edition ms press book + asking for the second for my Birthday (though this is cutting it short as Bday is 17th and exam 29th), also done stuff on virtual PC. Was wondering if it was worth just going for it and downloading the test questions now from the site as they were quite cheap (on a budget for the wedding) and I need to do some practice tests for confidence (and to see if I'm ready or need to delay the exam a few weeks!)

i think they safe - but im not sure... a google search revels they ok but to be honest i dont know! Transcenders i know are expensive but they are the *best* practice tests out there!

I have just had a look under training reviews but nothing was found for Ucertify, but it's a good link for finding out other training providers

 

Avoid. Plus, they use fake "interested customers" (all IP addresses resolve to a single range in India) to regularly spam forums to spamvertise their products.

 

Keep in mind that Press Releases are created and distributed by the company itself, and is NOT a review...

 

i posted the site behind the curtain earlier leehaa to see if it came up blocked out it didn't and tom the owner of the site posted a reply to my little test.

I myself would give it a shot because you are on a budget. However, thats up to you hun. Now when is that wedding date?

 

I had a look at their free sample questions when revising for a CIW exam, as there is no transcender available.

I thought they were good - well written and without errors. The questions didn't come up in the exam, so they weren't a complete rip. I did feel though that the questions were a little 'easy' when compared to the real thing.

Someone posted a thread last year about 'authorized' test simulation providers, and I'm sure I saw UCertify on there.

BBM may have a point, but using fake references and 'news' bulletins to promote a product or website doesn't necessarily mean that they are underhand or dumpers. It's a competative market out there. So of I put a testimonial on my site saying 'people who used X said this...' for all you know they could be employees or my family. I don't know what the law is regarding this sort of thing, but as it's on the Web I guess it's pretty much unregulated. As long as it's not actually untrue - for all you know all my employees have used the product at some point.

It is all a bit of a grey area, and we each have to find our own way...

open you 2 more windows for technet and msdn, the links are provide on the fist link i provided.

Then go down to what they called skilled measured and copy one of the requirements and paste it into those other 2 pages search box.

and if by chance neither of those bring up anything helpfull, google it. Anyway, it is just one more way to get free study material that you can count on. What they charge for their exam I would take advantage of anything you can get for free from them. Anyway, hopes this help if not, well sorry for running off at the mouth.

Haven't really used Technet. I don't really know why? Everyone recommends it - I think it's just that because i'm so busy, and most of the stuff on there is stuff I want to spend time reading, so usually opt for a book that I can read small bites from, or test questions that I can do one at a time in quiet patches at work. Will have a look though as really need all the help I can get (Feel like i'd fail miserably If I had to take the exam this afternoon!!)

Debating as to whether or not to do Transcender as although it's expensive, at least it's thorough etc. May have to ask for that for my Birthday instead of The Ms Press book and a Lotus Notes administration book I asked for, but then I really need the Lotus one for work... why is everything so bl**dy expensive?!?!Dunno - might just risk it and try Ucert decisions decisions!!...

 

Just as long as you know that a bad training tool CAN be worse than no training tool at all.

Worse yet, if they turn out to be a braindump, then you've wasted your money.

Sometimes, you DO get what you pay for.

 

"People" don't shamelessly promote them... they shamelessly promote themselves. Keep in mind that I see the IP addresses of the "interested customers" who ask about UCertify on MCSEWorld, and they ALL come from the same address or small range of addresses in India.

 

If I did that around here, I'd be banned.

A company's actions are indicative of how the company does business. Go ahead and support them, if you want. I won't buy from a company in ANY field who does business that way, against clearly posted forum rules.
