CWNA
Hey everyone...
Right i've decided to take the plunge and start studying for the Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) exam.
I did a wireless course back in January and i've had the book for a couple of years now but never had the time, so i figure it's about time!
Anyone taken it? Any opinions?
The only thing i dont like the look of it the calculating decibells etc, other than that it looks quite interesting.

It might be on my 'To-Do' list somewhere, but its way down that list!
Have you not thought about giving the Wireless# a go first?

Yeah i did think about Wireless Sharp but to be honest i've wanted to do the CWNA for so long that the Wireless Sharp just went in under the raidar and seems a bit basic compared to the material in the CWNA.
I'll give the book a read (i've read portions before) and see how i feel. I'm in no big rush but 1st quarter 2007 would be good.
Amazing how much you can get done using 30 to 45 minutes of your lunch to do some revision, especially if you dont need to go out for anything
Although CWNP have just made some minor changes to the exam material but aren't doing a new book, so that might add some complication!

Wow, its been a tough week and i've exceeded all my expectations but i've managed to read the CWNA book, 577 pages in just over a week.
I used my lunch hours and time at home to get through it so at least i now know what is covered.
Time to go back and do the practice questions and review what i feel i'm weak on...
I'm not planning on taking the exam for a few weeks, maybe not until the new year but it feels good to have read the book!
