SBS 2000 - Yep, in a live environment

SBS 2003 - Only on a VM.

Really like the idea of having everything combined onto a single box, and implemented as a single soultion!

Yeah, but often easier to manage than multiple setups, esp. if its a small business.

Yep. Been using it for a while. I migrated from SBS to standard edition using the upgrade packs.

Not a bad system but I think it can be easily outgrown. I have had MD of small companies in tears if its down.

Cheers!!

Yes me a few years ago,

had loads of fun when it went wrong, it's not like having a windows server with all the different apps installed separately, it's an entirely different beast..

Had loads of fun with those client machine 'add to the network' floppies, half the clients were Windows 98, and the others win2k pro (it was 2001).

Win2k clisnts were good as gold, the 98 machines were the spawn of the devil.

Whole thing had me up till 4:30 am at one stage, there was something that just wasn't right about it.

SBS is great when it all just works but when it goes wrong - it goes spectacularly wrong and forget your regular troubleshooting for Windows OS/exchange/IIS/ISA etc, SBS is *different* even though all the documentation says otherwise.

I think nowdays it's probably a bit more robust and no one uses Windows 98 for work any more... do they?
