Security+ Passed... just!!

Hi all,

Well proper revision really escaped me for this one, as various things popped up such as Fathers day and other things, and as such I did not put in the proper time and resources to pass this.. however I have had such trouble even booking an exam with my local place I accepted what they gave me and took it about 20 mins ago...

I passed with a 772 (Needed 764) so it looks like I got one more question right than needed for a pass!!

I used the Security+ All In One book and some online googling, and it was OK, but I have now got to be honest and say the CompTIA questions in this exam are absolutely horrific, to say the least.... mutiple situations with questions which could have 2 correct answers rather than one!!!

Anyways, its over now, and judging by other people's scores on here, it is actually quite a tough exam...

Now off home to read up and see where I went wrong!

Book!

Hi,

ISBN is 0072226331

Link from Amazon (Not sure if this is going to work) is this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...926619-9258013

But let me warn you now, this book simply does not have enough information in it to pass this test well... (But does any?!)

I have got to be honest and say even though I passed, and got 85.7% on this exam (And you need 84.8% to pass), I do feel a little gutted not to have scored better...

I know its easy to blame it on the questions...see above!

Congrats on the pass.

And a little sobering for me, as I hope to go onto that one when I have got Server+ out of the way.

Harry.

I can't say I experienced that. I found the questions straightforward and factual. e.g. what port does http use by default ?
