Sybex are sloppy

Sybex are the publishers of the only 'official' book for i-Net+. Having bought the book I was dismayed at the lack of editing of it, with some obvious layout howlers etc. But at least the errata I fetched from Sybex's site had been incorporated in the text.

Also there is often no indication in the test questions that multiple answers are required.

I hadn't looked at the included CD until now, when I discover it is the CD for the Win2k MCSA book!

Not impressed.....

Harry.

Harry,

Have you looked at the official CompTIA book?

It says that its only available in the US and Canada though, but surely there are ways and means.

Hm - interesting. If you do a search on the CompTIA site for books for the course they don't include their own book! And I'm not sure why they limit their books to N.America.

No - I haven't seen this book. And I'm not sure that I want to go through the hoops to try and persuade someone in the US to buy and ship it! I now have 3 books on the cert - and coupled with the fact that my company subscribes to SkillPort/SkillSoft which gives me another learning option I feel I should be OK!

But thanks for reminding me about the CompTIA books, I had forgotten about them.

Harry.
