    Hi All,

    Sitting Security+ exam on Friday morning. I'm a mixed bag of really confident and a little unsure. I've worked hard reading my materials, but haven't sat anything from CompTIA before.

    Wish me luck, let you know how I get on.

    Cheers Mr Spandex. I'm hoping to get a few exams out the way quickly as I've been studying for 291, 299 and this Sec+ on and off for months now. Fingers crossed. Jim

    Mate, when I did the Server+ Beta, I was amazed at how easy the questions are to read compared to Microsoft.

    You will find it a doddle :D

    Good Luck mate. When I did the A+ the layout and the "pretext" of the exam was a lot easier - they just seem to ask more straight forward questions.

    I'll be made up if its short to the point questions. As we all know, some of the Microsoft questions can be massive. I'm not looking forward to my two design exams for the MCSE, 298 and 293 I think they are

    Just got back from Prometric and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PASSED SY0-201! 885 so reasonably happy with that.

    This being my firts CompTIA exam my bottle had gone even though I'd been studying for this for a few months in the background of my other studies. Prior to this I've only sat Microsoft exams and I have to say, the CompTIA questions were a lot shorter, more to the point and varied.

    The exam covered quite a wide subject area but fortunatley I think there was only maybe 3 questions I honestly didn't have a clue about.

    It helped that I'd studied for 290, 270 and 291 with regards to encryption and tunnelling protocols.

    I used CBT Nuggets 2008 (Very Good) and Mike Myers Security+ Passport book (also quite good for cramming).

    Ah wow just reading the bit of paper they stamp when you come out the room and SY0-210 is out of 900! I thought it was out of 1000! So I must of only got two or three wrong! :lol: Go me!

    Just remembered too, having my ITIL helped as a few Q's involved ITIL type stuff, Change Management etc

    HA HA Wait till 2 weeks time, 291 am comin after ya! If I pass that the mod's would be better off banning me from Cert Forums cos I'll be over the moon! :lol:
