Net Neutrality, Does it exist even now?

I found a very interesting post on the Neosmart Files blog about existing net neutrality.

Earthlink customers are reporting that they are losing emails. Earthlink admits this is a problem and says some customers are basically losing all their email. The way they explain it their system is overloaded, but neosmart says this may very well not be true.

They sent emails to 3 different domains. Two domains received 100% of the emails. One received 30%. In a true dumb pipe an overloaded system would not display these characteristics. All domains would be losing email.

There could be a hundred other reasons why only certain emails go missing. It could be down to a flaky mail relay server that only affects the one domain for example.

I think it's about time some people changed their Christmas avatars.

That would be fairly easy to trace and fix. This problem has been going on for quite some time the way I understand it.

Earthlink specifically claims an overloaded system.
