I have to upgrade certain programs for some hundred odd schools (if needed)...

i called up a school and asked if i was able to connect to the sql server... this very aroused sounded lady gave me the ip address straight away, which is normally strange...

so i logged in and noticed that there was a half typed word doc on the screen.... i called the office again, to find out what was happening, and the lady said, oh this is my workstation

no probs, i said, i actually need access to the sql server, not your workstation, then to my horror she said this is the server machine... quicking hitting C+A+D i see that its running Server 2003, also is the domain controller aswell

huh, now thats i new one i thought...

Let hope she dont infect this machine

strange thing is, im kinda learnt bits and bobs from messing around over the last week on my VM machines, and it looks like im using them at work now... now thats sweeeet!

yeah - dont know why their IT team let her use that computer and given her admin rights, she get yahoo messenger running, few toolbars running and god knows what else

had another user same sceanerio minus the aroused voice...

i told the young man the situation and what i had to do...also mentioned that i'll be on for like 15-30mins, 30 mins if i have problems and around 15 or less if everything goes sweet...

and then cheeky so and so said to me that;

i said go for lunch now

(in the meantime, i connected to the machine and he accepted)

then he goes

my response...

hmmm, nice document your working on here... select all, delete, save.

then i go

and put the phone down! (luckily for me, i never introducted my self nor mentioned my dept!
