Well decided to go for the SSCP from the (ISC)2. The book I ordered arrived today, so will make a start on that soon (have to study for the FITS level 4 exam first).

I'm aiming to sit the exam at the end of March, so we'll see how it goes.

Just one question, has anyone got any tips? Or other study resources that they recommend?

Hiya mate, good choice. On my way home from work today I asked a Security Analyst I know about it and he said something along the lines "once you pass the exam you have two years to get endorsed". I've only just got in so haven't looked it up but check out endorsing SSCP on Google

Got the exam booked today... Just trying to get most of the NVQ and FITS out of the way so that I can concentrate on the SSCP exam :)

lol, end of March (so over two months away).. However, if I'm not confortable, I can always reschedule (there is a fee for that though). I'm also looking at CBT's and will see if there are any practice exams like there are for MS exams.

Fair enough - where do you see it taking you/benefiting you?

    Two folds really:

    1. To enhance/update my current security knowledge & practice. As part of my roll is security of the systems at work &
    2. For our external customers/clients.

I've already done the Comptia Security+ and the 70-298: Designing Security for a MS Windows 2k3 Environment, so the SSCP should compliment those.
