Reminder keeps appearing - Yet meeting has been deleted - Office 03

Im having this annoying issue with a user at work in regards to outlook reminders.

We have Outlook 2003 over MS exchange, and this one user has been having an issue with one particular calender reminder.

According to the user A meeting was scheduled and accepted for 29th Jan, and the meeting has now come to pass. The meeting has been deleted from his calender, and he has tried cancelling the request, but it sill pops up as right as rain every day when he first loggs onto outlook. Ive tried locating the original request and checked his reoccurences............cant find anything.

I have seen a solution to run "outlook.exe /cleanreminders". But im unsure, would this delete all current reminders as well? or only the ones which dates have already passed?.

Any help would be great

Was he the person who scheduled the meeting, or someone who was asked to attend?

He wa the user who scheduled the meeting.

None of our users as far as Im aware use webmail here, but ill double check that if i can. TBH, Im not aware if they are allowed to use webmail here, it may simply be discouraged. There is a lot of restrictions on user functionality.

It's always worth checking webmail (where possible) with Outlook issues within an exchange environment. Sometimes all is well within webmail and a simple new outlook profile for the user resolves the issue. I have also seen this where the user has either some bizarre rules, or delegation rights.

Resolved

Oops thought I had updated this already..........

Anyway, thankyou for the replies. The issue has now been resolved.

We did try clearing the reminders out, but it didnt resolve the issue whatsoever. Recreated the profile and it sorted it all out....
