New Laptop.. Core i3

Been saving now for a netbook, was waiting for the Asus 1201n (first dual atom cpu netbook ) 12", 2GB, 250GB, Win 7..

What i wanted from the netbook/laptop was something that had a decent amount of battery life, light weight along with moderate performance.

- However, saw this 15" laptop and thought...hmm, for an extra £50! And went for it on a impulse buy :P

Core i3 2.13Ghz, 4GB DDR3 (upgrade), 320GB, 6-cell Lithium Ion battery, Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD (capable of bluray playback, and can even handle games like warcraft..), Windows 7 home x64.

Just thought i'd spread the word - for what it is i think its a real bargain, has been shipped within 48 hours but on a 4 day lead time traveling from China..

Thoughts?

battery is a bit naff, but a laptop is a laptop. and laptops are roughly 400 so..
good thing about it is that it's a dell... I've found that dells have very good hardware and usually last the distance.

nice buy

It ran a stress test using 100% CPU, Memory, HDD & Grpahics with a battery life of 81 mins, which agreed is poor, however with some power profiling with moderate stress usage the battery can last upto 4 hours.. so its a good medium i think!? Bearing in mind the netbook gets upto 6 hours..

Bonus its a dell agreed on that too.. but its not juuust a laptop Its core i3 (4 thread as apposed to 2 with the netbook^), 4gb ddr3 (£80 on ebuyer alone @ 1066Mhz..!) - most recent technologies.. and for £450 inc del at that spec i think thats a good deal!!
