A photoshop tutorial I did

from kelby training. It just started out as a new white file. Took me 2 1/2 hours to complete. Have to admit it didn't seem that long to do. It was very fun to make. Specially the warp too. I love the warp tool. I know it is not perfect. I will have to do several more times to bring it up to top notch standards but I am proud of it and very much enjoying the hell out of photoshop.

It looks great, mitzsy, and I like it that time flew for you while doing it -- that's the mark of loving what you do. Keep it up, girl!

Thanks guys. I am enjoying learning photoshop so much that I have let dreamweaver fall to the side. I really need to pick it back up since I think it will be eaiser to make a living web designing then with photoshop. But it would really be a dream come true to play in photoshop all day and get paid for it!

Joe thinks it needs a ship in it. And that got me to thinking that it would look really cool with a clipper ship in it toward the back facing forward that way you could see all the sails. Maybe I'll have it flying a pirate flag. This is a little above my skills at the moment. Maybe I can find a picture of a clipper ship and turn into a vector and scale it down. But then again I know you can create brushes into objects and maybe I can do it that way and then fill in the colors and add the textures. Hmmm, my mind is really going now....

Hi ya mitzs.

If you love working in photoshop so much then you need to purchase the photoshop top secret DVD set by Mark Monciardini. This has opened up a whole new way of working in photoshop for me and every tutorial is really exciting to do.

I'm not trying to promote myself ( well....not much), but here's a link to some of my work i did using marks techniques.: http://www.advancedphotoshop.co.uk/user/nellyp

I like what you did by the way...great stuff

Regards

Neil

Nice work there Mitzs. I love Photoshop.......one of the tools of my trade! But to tell the truth, I'm not the kind of artist who does stuff like that from scratch. Just don't have the time and patience........especially when you're studying for Network+!!!

I just edit and tweak pics and I deal mostly with composites. So far you're looking good, keep up the good work!

Programmer: I'm stressed out and thirsty. What do you have?
Waiter: Java
Programmer: Kool! I'll have a cuppa.
Waiter: Would you like your Java with Scripts or Applets?

[Kinda corny, but I made it up......while I was having a cuppa!]

Thanks Blue and Neil, I apprecaite all the support!

Neil, I would call myself more of a craft kind of person then artist, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler. But with photoshop I can!
Glad to know there is a pro with photoshop on here. When I get stuck on something. I'll be sending a ping your way. Your gonna wish you never told me that. I am not sure what a composite is Neil. Are you talking about when you work on the pictures when they are in raw format? Oh and good luck with N+. I hope you find it as fun as I did.
