Virgin Media Broadband Cable

I am doing some building work at home and want to move the location of my exisitng Virgin Media/ Telewest broadband connection. Can I use any type of digital coax cable from the Virgin Mobile junction box or is it a special type? Any help gratefully appreciated.

Check the terms and conditions! A quick google showed this in condition 3 from Virgin:

Please do not move any existing equipment. Should you wish to alter the routing of any existing equipment such as cables or wall sockets, you should contact us.
And welcome to CF!

Harry.

A further note - if you are going to ignore the conditions - the cable appears to be 75 ohm and is sole by Maplins among others.

Harry.

Hi Harry

Thanks for your responses. I am not looking to move the installed juction box which is Virgin owned - only the internal cables.

Stephen

Your choice, but you can guarantee *if* you did encounter problems they would blame your extension.
