Having never taken the 70-270, I wouldn't know, but the A+ and Network+ exams are considered "entry-level" and represent (more or less) what your skills should be at about 6 months to 1 year of experience in the IT field. The Network+ exam represents a generalist point of view to networking. Any network related certification exams beyond this one will be more challenging. JMHO.

Hmm, okay, well ive got around 3-4 years experience in the field, 2 professionally with my present company and 2 before that doing contract work in college. So hopefully that will fill the need. Im feeling more confident now about this test you guys, I appreciate your support and help.

If it makes you feel any better the Network+ was the easiest exam I've ever taken. I only had a couple months of real world experience and I aced it. Although this was 9 years ago and I'm sure the test has changed a little.

Yes, and the A+ exam is even MORE basic... and we're just now finishing the ExSim-Max for the first of the A+ exams.

Don't misunderstand me - Boson has ExSim stuff for Network+... but not the higher-quality ExSim-Max stuff. Josh and I arrived on staff less than a year ago, and it's taken time to implement our processes. We can train new writers and write new content only so fast.

After we're done with the ExSim-Max two of the A+ exams (601 and 602), we will likely create the ExSim-Max for Network+. We're also working on the Microsoft and Cisco product lines simultaneously.
