Office 2003 SP3

Those of you still running Office 2003, and about to apply Service Pack 3 might like to consult

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938810/en-us

before you do so. The important bit is in "More Information", some way down the page - the service pack disables access to a number of file formats which MS has deemed "insecure"

Quote:
After you install Office 2003 SP3, some Microsoft Office Excel 2003, Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, Microsoft Office Word 2003, and Corel Draw (.cdr) file formats are blocked. By default, these file formats are blocked because they are less secure. They may pose a risk to you.

Putting a computer in front of a child and expecting it to teach him is like putting a book under his pillow, only more expensive.

Not sure why but when the link above is click, the page cannot be found.

Just copy and paste the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938810/en-us bit that pops up in the new window and it works!

I've downloaded a copy of the info (adobe format) cus I find that when you try to go back to it at a later stage, ya can't find it again

Regards

Declan
