Question 1 is A because when there is a collision the data being sent can not get where its going.

Hi,

Agree with GBL, CSMA/CD by triggering IFS (interframe spacing), the min amount of time a device needs to wait or backoff before transmitting, can decrease network performance. that should answer both questions.
