Weird thing is right, like in my post before where I answered my own question.
I often do that when I'm posting a question on a forum. It's like the act of writing down the question makes you think more, because you don't want to ask a stupid question, so your double checking what your asking.
But also it's the fact that your writing and considering others as well, not just yourself, as you want everyone to be able to understand what your saying, and possibly help others.
Whether I achieve this I aint sure at mo, but it's early days.

I realise that these first tasks are simple, but I just want to go over everything in the 210 and 215 books, or xp exams, whichever you are doing, to prepare for the exam.
To be honest I have done this task before countless times, but probably not exactly correctly. This is because it's always easier to fool yourself than anyone else. That's my thinking anyway.

Next task I think will be Windows Installer.I'm going to install MS Word 2000 I think, but it's up to the individual.

Of course the tasks will egt more involved.Maybe if others more advanced want to do a more advanced task. For example setting up DHCP, but with all the advanced options.
Sorry though, but I can't write these types of tasks just at the mo.
I need to crack on and get my first 2 MCP's before the sun blows up the Earth. This means going over the main practical scenarios from first 2 MCP's.There's not masses to cover so shouldn't take long as long as we keep a good pace.

I'll set the next task shortly.

Thanks

PS: Condescending mate. Joke

Glad to see this is all going so well - sure we all agree, a big WELL DONE to Flex once again

Just to pick up one small point, Flex - the MSPress book for 215 does actually go into configuring the scope for the DHCP service, inc. reserved addresses, etc - this was one area I found more interesting than normal. This might not be the case in the material you're using - I don't mean to be picky here

Just to clarify (HTH)

.... and yes, I did have this as my Sig way before all that X-factor crap ...

We did configure the scope, as in addresses.
I must say that my books are cr@p, so apologies, but that's what you get with my distance provider.
The book mentions other options, but not actually configuring them.I belive that will be for later.
However, I will look into this more, see what else we can do while we're here at task 4 eh.

Any suggestions of course welcome, but I'll report back myself either way.

Thanks

I have already installed window2003 server
i want to create domain on the server and then add all client machines to that domain. so what should i do? Please send me steps for that.

Use the following address range:

192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.255

Then add your client machine to the domain.

What wizard said. Sorry to say this Mahesh, but the people who were partners on this project have long since parted ways. The original idea of this forum was to allow various CF members worldwide collaborate on common lab tasks, thus helping each other learn. We could never really get it off the ground after the initial start, though. I suspect it's because we all lead such separate lives that it's tough to dedicate the resources to this sort of endeavour.

That said, if you can convince other forum members to join in, why not start your own lab thread instead of piggy backing on this old one?
