Just to add only a CCDA is the pre-requisite for this exam, so dont worry if you dont have CCDP or CCNP etc.

Where do you see the prerequisites for the exam? I don't see that any exams are required to take this exam.

Never mind... had to do some digging, because it's not on Cisco's Certification home page. You are quite correct.

That said, I don't see a great deal of demand for all those specialist certifications. Not very many companies are even aware of the CCDA and CCDP, much less the design specializations. But it certainly couldn't hurt to get them anyway, ya know?

Did a quick search on Google, Amazon, and Cisco Press and can't find any book on it yet. I can ask my contact at Cisco Press to see if a book is coming out in the foreseeable future.
