Yeah! Passed with 793!
Crikey that was difficult.
Got 100% in two sections (Developing a Logical Data Model & Implementing the Physical Database), but weirdly did badly in Security Plan, which I though I was pretty good at.
Indexes definitely came up a lot.
Glad that's over.
Onto 70-228!

Me: You need to buy a couple of servers.
Customer: Whats wrong with the servers I have?
Me: Well, you dont have *any* servers just now.
Customer: WTF! I thought I did!
Fantastic news - looks like you passed it like me (skin of your teeth!)
It is a b1tch of an exam isn't it? I remember sitting there at one point trying to work out the answer to a question on full-outer joins for about 20 minutes... before realising I had about 45 minutes left to answer 20-odd questions
interesting how now they give you a detailed score report providing areas where you're weak - when i took it all I got was a pass or fail together with my score. Thank God I passed, otherwise I'd have ended up not knowing which areas I was weak on (although, to be honest, it was probably all of them )
Thanks all. Feeling immensely relieved at the moment!
Got my MCP ID and stuff last night so I'm all signed up for that.
4-6 weeks for my welcome pack though!
Boycey - I used the Sybex book, good as my main learning guide.
I bought the Exam Cram 2 book after going through the Sybex book, this is an excellent book & I highly recommend it. (As long as you already covered something like Sybex/MS Press books etc, it can't be used a main reference). It's very easy to read and explains things well.
Books Online was heavily used, of course.
I also had some Netg online stuff, but IMHO, wasn't worth the time I spent looking at it. Others have told me they found it very useful though, so I suppose it depends.
Got the Transcender software a few weeks before the exam which was also pretty useful, but I probably did overuse it.
Zeb - yeah, hope they get easier from here!
By 100% I mean the score bar they give you was all the way across the page to 'Strong' for these sections - I took this to mean I got all the questions right but I may be mistaken.

I passed this exam about a month ago and found exactly the same thing as you in regard to the Security section - I don't recall any security questions that I struggled on yet only got 40-50% on that section!
You should have no problems with 70-228 now as you've done the most difficult of the two SQL exams
