Yesterday the site seemed to be very slow and sometimes resulting in a page not found error. This and previous outages and slow speed has made me make the decision to move the site to a new host.

You may have read my previous post in this forum about moving hosts and asking for donation, currently we have around £20 in the certforums piggy bank this year, I know its not a lot but the rest went on a happy meal for me and Rosy. Only joking, the rest went on the .com domain www.certforums.com that currently points back to here.

If any member wishes to make a donation toward the hosting costs drop me PM and we can make arrangements. As you well know I don't run this site to make a profit I run it for you, so you can benefit from the sharing of knowledge and experience. I personally have learnt so much while working and taking part in this site that it has become a really important part of my learning process. Plus I've met some good people, yes Jak included :D

Apologies for the period of downtime this evening, this was due to our current host carrying out maintenance work on the SQL server that holds the forum database.

I've signed up to the new hosting plan and will be moving the site over the next week, this will mean a lot of work and I may have to take the forums off line for a short period of time while I move the database. I will try and do this at a quite time so may leave the final database move till a Sunday morning UK time. :D
